Pssssst, are you caring for elderly parents and helping them with their real estate needs? Want to see a pretty flower for landscaping designs for them OR you? One that's easy maintenance for your senior gardening, looks great, and makes delightful bouquets for your whole Sandwich Generation family, from the grandkids on up to the elderly senior citizens? Here tis, …my beloved hydrangeas, taken with my easy to use digital camera, just for Sweet Shot Tuesday, (can you tell I like EASY in a variety of ways – it's perfect for this Sandwich Generation granny nanny!)
As I was snapping the photos, I noticed that the leaves were as beautiful as the flowers – and yet, the flowers are what we notice. But when you stop and think about it, the leaves are just as important as the blossoms. In fact, because of feeding the plants, they are downright vital to the flowers.
Isn't that just like so many of us caring for our aging parents? Caregivers aren't always noticed and they rarely make the headlines (unless they do something really wrong), but caregivers are vital to those they care for. And what a blessing caregivers are to their carees. To me, that's pure joy!
"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35
Have a lovely Word-Filled Wednesday, full of uplifting Bible verses and pictures to encourage the Sandwich Generation.

Lovely verses and even though my parents are not yet retired, I am sure many of your lessons are valuable now and will be great for the future. I am going to keep poking around!
Thanks Nessa
Love God’s Word!
I am a caregiver to my elderly parents — it is a difficult responsibility, but one day will probably be a sweet season to me.
Happy WFW!
Beth
Blessings Kaye… Beautiful flowers and leaves! The veins are intricately designed and maintain life just as God’s word does.
Blessed are the many seniors that have given much, may they receive much! Thanks for all your wonderful information and ideas… great gardening tip!

Kaye,
I’m so glad that you posted this. It’s so true…it is a long road and one that only Jesus can help a caregiver to perservere on when the going gets truly difficult and not in “the plan.” What an encourager you are! So blessed that you faithfully join us every week!
I love the photo and scripture together… just perfect!
Hydrangeas are one of my favorites. Thanks for a great WFW.
