The pool at the Country Creek Drive home in Orangevale next to Roseville CA is gorgeous per Kaye Swain REALTOR 500Multigenerational joys! I love visiting homes throughout the Roseville CA area. Especially when I can spot great ideas and options to share with y'all. That can give us both fresh tips and remind us of great ones from the past.

Last week, I visited a lovely 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in WoodBridge Ranch. This particular home's address is in Orangevale California. BUT it is about a whopping .1 or .2 miles from the Roseville CA border. That's because this gorgeous, up-scale, master-planned community spans both Placer and Sacramento County! Part is in Roseville and part in Orangevale, CA.

This community has so many great homes with terrific multigenerational options. It includes a wide variety of single story homes. (I'm guessing there might be a few with a bedroom and bathroom/shower on the first floor as well. You can be sure I'll let you know if I spot any of those!

The home I visited was a single story ranch style with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on one side of the L shaped home. On the other side of the home there was 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom along with the laundry room (my senior mom would be in 7th heaven with that set-up 🙂 ).

A kitchen area between family living room and eating area is a great multigenerational option in this lovely WoodBridge Ranch home per Kaye Swain REALTOR in Roseville CA

In between the bedrooms are a formal living room, dining room, family room, and a delightful kitchen with a "to-die-for" view of the gorgeous swimming pool surrounded by waterfalls. Beyond that was a lovely green and flowered back yard that backs up to a delightful seasonal creek.

With your own park in the back yard of Country Creek Drive Orangevale you can have plenty of room for everyone under one roof per Kaye Swain REALTOR in Roseville CA

It's an awesome property with plenty of places for people to enjoy some privacy. That is something that is so vital for a multigenerational family who might feel like they are tripping over each other in a smaller home.

I especially appreciated the pocket doors in various parts of the home that don't take up too much room. They give a sense of seclusion accompanied by a quieter experience in the various rooms – another great help for a large extended family under one roof.

Another thing that can be a big help for large multigenerational families at WoodBridge Ranch are the great activity options right in the immediate area.

There are two private parks including Lake Park – and yes, it is aptly named. Plus it is kept stocked with fish for catch and release enjoyment.  Playgrounds, a basketball court, a tennis court, a large baseball field with plenty of grass area, and picnic areas and BBQs all add to the many joys of living in the WoodBridge Ranch Community of homes.  There are biking, walking and jogging trails and even an equestrian center with dedicated horse trails. Those are needed as many of the homes, including this one, are zoned for having a horse! That's fun in general and could be especially helpful for those caring for someone of any age who would benefit from the many joys of horse therapy!

All in all, WoodBridge Ranch, in Roseville AND Orangevale CA, is a gorgeous master-planned community with so many great options for a variety of needs including multigenerational and aging in place options. I am guessing you could even find the occasional home for sale that includes a bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and/or tub on the first floor there.  And those 5 good ways are probably more, but they include great separation in the kitchen, pocket doors to provide quiet and privacy between kitchen-family area and formal living/dining area, one bedroom and bathroom alone on one side of the house, a huge back yard, a pool along with other areas to provide for plenty of room to spread out. And that doesn't even count the various extra activities in the area. Talk about your multigenerational joys in general and specifically with this sweet home.

http://www.sandwichink.com/welcome-to-the-caregiving-holiday-progressive-blog-party-2013-at-sandwichinkWelcome to the annual Caregiving Holiday Progressive Blog Party 2014. I've enjoyed participating in this for the past few years with my blog, SandwichINK for the Sandwich Generation. The Sandwich Generation refers to those who are caring for elderly parents while raising children or helping with grandkids. It's also commonly called multigenerational caregiving.

This year, I joined in with SandwichINK's "sister" blog, SandwichINK Real Estate Info. For those visiting from the blog party, I'd like to introduce myself to you. I'm a caregiver, a grandmother, and a REALTOR with Keller Williams in Roseville California specializing in helping fellow boomers and seniors with their real estate, aging in place, and multigenerational needs. As a result, real estate is definitely top of mind for me this year, and multigenerational real estate is also on the tip of my and many other agents' tongues as it is once again growing in popularity, with many elderly parents moving in with their kids, or vice versa.

My senior mom lives with me, plus I also help another beloved senior living long distance. I used to have one set of grandkids nearby and another long distance. This past year, God has moved us all around and now both sets are long distance. That definitely leads to new challenges, but also new solutions to share with my readers and clients.

In addition to these blogs, you can also find great resources at my Facebook pages including SandwichINK for the Sandwich GenerationPinterest, and Twitter. Being a tech-savvy writer and REALTOR, I love to make good use of social media tools to help you with a wide variety of needs from caregiving ideas to aging in place suggestions to how to help our elderly parents with their real estate needs.

And, what would a party be without party favors?

First, here's a cool party favor I RECEIVED from the very sweet Denise Brown last week. Doesn't it make a lovely decoration for the eparty.

I also have a contest for an Amazon gift card for $10 to use on encouraging music, books, etc. Just leave a comment below and answer the question "What is my favorite AGING IN PLACE suggestion" and I will pick the winner in a random drawing at the end of the blog party – the cut-off time will be Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 9 p.m. And if you are not sure what aging in place options are available, they include grab bars in the bathrooms (maybe other rooms too), wide doorways and sidewalks to accomodate walkers and wheelchairs, zero or one-step entry into the house to avoid stairs that elderly may fall on, wheelchair ramps into the house, etc. 🙂

Thank you again for visiting SandwichINK Real Estate Info and do have a lovely and blessed Christmas. Be sure to enjoy more of the Caregiving.com Holiday Progressive Blog Party and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
